Hi, I'm Kete. I'm a wife, mum of two and I work in healthcare.
For years, I thought working more hours was the answer. I'd work Monday to Friday and sometimes pick up weekends too, just to earn that little bit extra.
But after a while, I realised those extra hours were costing me something I couldn't get back – time with my family.
I was tired, missing family moments and knew I didn't want to keep going like that.
Then one day, while scrolling through Facebook, I came across another mum sharing what she was doing online. It got me curious and I remember thinking, “Could I actually do this too?”I had my doubts. I'm not very tech-savvy and doing something online was completely new to me. But I decided to give myself a chance and learn.
I'm still working in healthcare and I'm still building, but I've learned so much already and grown in confidence along the way.
For me, this is about having another option for our future and hopefully creating more flexibility for the things that matter most – my family.
